fall…for billy!

Billy

Billy was looking way too cute amongst the fallen foliage in our backyard yesterday…I ran inside and grabbed my camera before the moment passed! Of course he loves to pose, so as soon as he realized I was snapping away, he gave me about twenty shots to choose from. I'm pretty sure this boy takes up about 70% of my iPhoto, but I wouldn't have it any other way…just can't get enough of him.

the burning house project…

Burning-house

I'm sure you have heard of the Burning House Project, as it has been buzzing around the internet. I find this concept so fascinating and touching, and I can't help but participate. I am intrigued by the posts and what people treasure, and what they would grab in the case of a fire.  As much as I would love to grab my treasured records, books, photos and artwork, I have paired it down to the basics. Obviously this all assumes that my husband would be there with me. Billy thinks he can save us all, of course…which is one of his most adorable qualities. His courage is truly inspiring. Tell me…what would you take?

sneak peek…

Billy and I were thinking we should share a *peek* of our living room with you! Just a peek, because it is not complete…but we are really digging our new cowhide rug, which we've lovingly named "Herman". Herman has hand painted metallic spots on him…he is a special cow. Resting on top of him is our new lucite coffee table. Yes, yes…it's the CB2 one you see so much, but honestly, it is the best looking out there for the price, and it ties in the lucite & glass we have elsewhere thoughout the house. Our pumpkin pine floors seem more beautiful in the fall, and we recently lit our first wood burning fire in this home. Yes…home…It has evolved from just a house, and we'll be sharing more of it soon!
