We took a road trip to NYC on Saturday with our friends Angie & Tim for a special pickup…the Ladurée macarons & tea for my baby shower! It was quick trip in and out of the city, but we had a blast and made sure to have enough macarons for the ride back. Angie snapped these photos of me outside…24 weeks pregnant (with twins…in case you forgot, haha)! We also took a little video…check it out!
This weekend is busy with overnight guests, party setup and primping for…my baby shower! My sweet friend Stephanie is hosting, but she has allowed me to do all the planning and styling, which is such a gift for me! This is just a glimpse of the decor, but I will be sharing photos of the big day next week. After my wedding, this is the most exciting event I have planned and looked forward to! Bon weekend!
I know, I know…such a tease, sorry! Once the nursery is complete I will have some professional shots to share, but for now mine will have to suffice. This photo actually tells you more than you might think, as it is mostly the entire "color" story for the room. The greys, whites and neutrals are so yummy to me I could lick them. Seriously. This adorable bear was one of our few baby purchases while in Paris…we were not expecting at the time but knew we would be before our next trip back. I can't wait to share more!

It's hard to believe I'm in the "twenties" now, and I've wished for it just like a teenager! For me it is a significant milestone in my pregnancy, as I am well over halfway through…crazy. I am savoring the second trimester, appreciating every day that I feel great and have energy, because I have an idea of what lies ahead for me in the third. It's not going to be easy with twins, that's for sure…but I am ready for the challenge! The babies are healthy, growing fast, and kicking me often…it's truly amazing.
