Sunday was perfect. With a hint of fall in the air, sunshine, and time to wander…we headed over to Clover Market in Ardmore. I recently discovered it via twitter (hooray for social media) and knew after checking out the vendor list that it would be great. The outdoor market is filled with antiques and collectibles, as well as vintage clothing, art, and handmade goodies. I was impressed by the variety, and thoughtfulness of everyone involved. Mark your calendars for the next one…October 16th!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the floral & event design studio of Sullivan Owen, and it was delightful. Having discovered Sullivan's talents via the Oh Joy Workshop we both attended, I was instantly smitten with her designs and had to see her creative space for myself (and she kindly obliged). Situated in the heart of  Queens Village in Philly, the studio suits her aesthetic perfectly, thanks to their extreme makeover! The colors are right up my alley, and I found the space to be very soothing. I got lost in the collection of beautiful milk glass, as that is one of my personal passions…they are so yummy. I saw firsthand how they type notes to accompany their deliveries, and that is just one of the touches that make them extra special. You must have a look at her floral designs, they are so beautiful…Sullivan and her team are true artists, and can make anything you dream up a reality.

Irene…lovely name, not so lovely storm. We will be needing these this weekend, as the best case scenario calls for a LOT of rain. We live in a suburb of Philadelphia, and are hoping for the best, and keeping our friends and family elsewhere on the east coast in our thoughts. You can never be too careful, so we are prepared for the worst, and hoping for the best. Stay safe everyone…and given that we have power, I’ll be back here on Monday. This is a piece of cake compared to an earthquake, right?!   ::wink::

I just realized how much dining out I’ve done in the past two weeks, sheesh! My schedule just happened to work out where it was all packed together. So…to elaborate on my meeting with Stephanie last week, we enjoyed amazing french cuisine at Bistrot La Minette. Situated in a very vibrant and artistic section of Philadelphia south of center city, it is tucked away on a charming side street. They have a lovely patio in the back where they show French films on certain nights, which makes for a great girls night out!
