Many bloggers refrain from discussing politics, and so far I’ve been one of them.
Billy thought he could help shed some light on such a delicate topic.

As we welcome summer, I am reminded of my favorite place on earth. It’s not Paris…shocking, I know. It is actually Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire, where I have spent many summers at my uncle’s lakehouse. For as long as I can remember, the lake has brought me so much peace and happiness…and every summer I am not there I feel a void. These photos were taken in 2006, when I brought Billy with me…he loved it! Please pardon my nostalgia…I’m missing the lake, and my old waistline (ha) today!
Please pinch me, because our home is being "sneak peeked" on Design*Sponge today!!! Most of our little cottage, including our twin nursery, is being revealed there! It is such an honor to be included…many thanks to Grace, Amy, and Anne. A huge MERCI to Courtney Apple, who took all the gorgeous photographs. I do hope you will check it out and leave a comment there…merci mon amies!
*for those who are linking over from D*S…welcome!*
I credit so much in my life to the internet-falling in love with photography, making new friends, feeling supported in new ventures. I'm so thankful to be part of this community…little did I know that THIS would be the beginning of such an amazing experience. I owe you all a huge MERCI for your love and support. Even though this blog is my creative outlet, I treasure your comments and thoughts. Thank you for reading…I appreciate each and every one of you! A few of my favorite posts over these two years…

Our first stop on the way into D.C. was Old Town Alexandria…a charming, historic favorite of mine. In fact, I was born in the area, so it makes sense why I love it so much. My main goal was to visit Fifteen Eleven, a beautiful paper goods boutique you have most likely heard of! Owned by the lovely Suann Song, the entire building is "buzzing" with creativity-The Hive at 1511 houses many other talented ladies. It did not disappoint, and is a haven for lovers of letterpress, like moi! Meeting Suann was a true pleasure, and she was kind to chat with us considering what a busy lady she is. If you find yourself in Alexandria, be sure to stop in…and also check out Suann's local favorites:
