heidelberg suites

This was taken in the breakfast room of our hotel in Heidelberg, Germany…the Heidelberg Suites. It is an amazing boutique hotel which opened in 2008, and the entire place is so photogenic it’s ridiculous. I took so many shots I could fill an entire page with them, but I figured I would just share one and let you discover the others on their site if you wish. I highly recommend it-not only are the interiors sophisticated and to die for, the service was impeccable, the location perfect, and it was extremely romantic! More to come on Heidelberg…

(just realized mr. fleurishing’s reflection is in the mirror, hehe)

Loftliving

As promised…a little peak into our world.  As a designer, it's hard to say it is "finished", as it is always evolving, but I'm happy with where it is. We are enjoying our little city loft, as it is something new for us…we love the loft details such as exposed ductwork, random width hardwoods, skylights, etc. It is a small space so it is cozy in terms of size, but also in feel. You may notice my latest purchase…the leopard pillow which I saw on Rue Magazine's site and just had to have, courtesy of High Street Market. If you want to see the fabrics up close and personal, you can check out this post.

It is the premiere online destination for baby & children's interior design, offering a la carte e-design services, as well as in-person consultation for the Philadelphia and surrounding areas. My goal is to make design more accessible, enjoyable, and affordable. I have to thank the fabulously talented team at Curious & Company for my lovely logo and, well…everything! Please visit my website and let me know what you think! You can expect to see nesting in some new & exciting places soon…(wink).  Stay tuned!!

soothing “color”

I was searching for the perfect door quote, and found so many great ones…but all I really want to do is talk about this color scheme-it's my favorite! Our home is a yummy monochromatic mixture of shades of white, with black, browns, and grey mixed in.  As a designer, it's calming to be surrounded by this when you work with color so much. J'adore!
