Amidst all of the technology in our lives, we’ve managed to foster book lovers. I am quite proud of that fact, especially as the daughter of a librarian. Marie + Henry’s collection continues to grow, with books slowly overtaking every room. This little reading nook is a nice escape throughout the day, and a cozy spot for bedtime stories. I thought I would share their current favorites with you…ranging from classics to current bestsellers. While board books are safest in the hands of toddlers, we’ve taught them to handle books delicately and treat them with respect…and to our delight, despite a few accidents (and one rage-induced mishap), the “grown-up” books remain intact! What are your kids favorites?
Ah ha, I recognize a few of our favorites up there! Henri’s walk to paris, Beautiful Oops, a book of sleep, and Zoo would all be on Eva’s list. I’m especially thankful when we receive books as gifts, cause we spend sooo much time reading in this house. Right now we’re in a Shel Silverstein phase, she also loves The Frances Collection.
As soon as they get a bit older I’m introducing them to Shel for sure…one of my favorites from childhood!
where is the chair from? what a lovely space!
thank you Chelsey…it’s the Parker chair by Jennifer Delonge. ;)
Both of my girls have loved New Socks by Bob Shea and anything by Mo Willems. Leonardo the Terrible Monster is a bedtime regular around here.
thanks for sharing Jenny!

Hi! We also have This is Paris! We love Wave, by Suzy Lee, The Tiger Who Came to Tea, Lost and Found, The Christmas Wish. Best regards from Barcelona,
Marta
Oh yes-Wave is a great book, need to add that! Thanks for sharing + hello back Marta!
I love that you always make life look so pretty! You have such a talent:)
thank you so much Colleen…life isn’t always this pretty (as you know), but I try! xo
What is it about that Pantone Colors book?! Anderson (22 months) absolutely loves it, especially now that he can vocalize his first color (blue). Perhaps it is all the vibrant colors and the fun figures. XO
It’s so well designed (of course)…I love it!
