“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2014.”

We’re all feeling better and are finally ready to welcome 2014! So it begins…my very first 52 week project! I will be taking a portrait of our children each week, documenting their growth and capturing moments in time. It brings me so much joy to photograph them, even though at times it is very challenging (ahem, twins). My girly francophile heart nearly exploded seeing Marie in this outfit…it kills me, in the best kind of way. Henry could care less about fashion, but looked so handsome in his new trench. All he wanted to do was run down the driveway at a frightening (for mommy) speed. They are embracing toddlerhood in every sense of the word, and we are learning more about this crazy thing called parenting.

Notes

  1. Beautiful portraits Susan!

Henry and Marie are so adorable. I’m looking forward to seeing their portraits weekly. And their outfits are killer! They dress better than me!

  2. You definitely should keep taking portraits of them! I’d love to see more photos with you and Parker in them too :) And seriously, best dressed American kids out there!

    • I will…and yes you will be seeing more of us, promise. Most of those I keep private to be honest, as I am very self-conscious. Also with two babies one of us has the camera (mostly me), and the other is kid wrangling! Tricky.

  3. Oh my gosh, I love Marie in her little boots! Glad you’re all feeling better! Quite the nasty bug…

    • thanks Sarah!! yes, the flu got us bad…hopefully it will avoid you all!

  4. I’m living in Paris for January and February on a personal journey and culinary adventure and can’t get over how adorable all the children are!

Yours are darling…what a fun 52 week project and how wonderful it will be to have all those photos.

    Bonne chance!

  5. From my point of view, you made a good decision on the coats: there’s a hood which is very useful for “catching” a toddler!
