Ever since moving to Philadelphia a year and a half ago, I have been continually inspired and energized by the amazing talent that thrives here. I continue to meet amazing entrepreneurs, artists and creatives that help make this city so vibrant. I kept thinking how great it would be to get people together, in one space, to meet, network and socialize, so the idea for this event was born. The Philly Creatives party was so much fun, and I have many to thank for helping make it an enticing and entertaining evening. I am grateful for the relationships I have built thanks to blogging, business and social media, and look forward to making many more…thank you to all who came out!
Janet & Stu of Three Potato Four kindly offered their space, which was perfect, and of course we all ended up shopping! Sullivan Owen created a beautiful fall floral arrangement, in a giant glass mason jar that I am coveting. Victoria Andreacchio of V’s Cupcakery in Norristown provided the most amazing cookies & cupcakes…seriously the best I’ve had in Philly! Lindsey Buck has such a talent for calligraphy, and made the gorgeous signage. The music and beautiful sound of Sharon Sable and E. Shawn Qaissaunee took things to another level. I am so thankful to have met them at the Terrain autumn festival, and just might become their newest groupie. Last but certainly not least, Art in the Age supplied the ROOT & SNAP which mr. fleurishing used to create some very pleasing libations!!
Interest has been expressed for another event, and your feedback and thoughts would help to make that a possibility. Maybe something quarterly, possibly having speakers? What are your thoughts?
Oh my goodness, the setup was beautiful!!! Bravo Susan! Wish I could have been there!
Thanks so much, wish you could have too…maybe next time in the states?! :)
Oh my stars! I’m so sorry I missed this fantabulous event – what a genious you are for thinking of it. I’ll surely be at the next one and can’t wait to follow Creatives.
best – D.
This looks like such a great event! Very fall-esque. Ah, yeah.. it’s just so classy and I’m glad it was a hit!
You did such a great job planning this, Susan! Everything was laid out just right, & comfortable enough for everyone to mingle & get to know one another! I definitely left learning about new creatives, & hope there will be more in the future. I think a quarterly event would be great! not too close together, but far enough apart where we can keep up on learning new things & grow from each other’s experiences. Definitely a fan of the potential speaker idea! Maybe even helping to fund the events so we can keep having them…maybe by charging $5-10 a person? Then we can keep inviting more people & help each event grow more each time. Just a thought!
Thanks Eva :)
Please do, and hopefully you can join us next time, thanks!
Thank you so much for your feedback Lindsey! All great ideas :)
What a wonderful event Susan! You are so talented! I love the idea of speakers at the next event. What a great way to hear other peoples stories and share experiences in creative businesses!

I second this idea! It was so nice meeting everyone – I’d pay a few bucks to do it again. Let me know if you’d need any help the next time around, Susan.
